Description

The Laura Ashley Provencale Round Dining Table exemplifies the beautiful proportions and intricate detailing of Rococo French furniture and is sure to make a statement with its elaborately sculpted legs and shaped aprons. The top is made from oak solids and veneers with a slightly weathered finish. All other surfaces are finished with a durable yet unassuming paint and a delicately applied patina to selected edges and profiles. The table will comfortably seat four in a formal setting and six in a casual one. Only the legs need to be attached to begin enjoying this piece; full assembly is not required. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of this Laura Ashley Provencal table because its ivory-painted legs and oak-effect top strike a balance between country warmth and refined simplicity. It sits naturally in cottage, farmhouse or shabby-chic schemes and pairs beautifully with wicker or slip-covered chairs. For a practical yet stylish setup, contrast its pale finish with deep-hued linen placemats and add a simple ceramic jug of seasonal blooms. Keep accessories minimal - a small brass candlestick or a neutral linen runner is all you need to let the table’s character shine.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
