This sideboard takes a simple, Mission Style silhouette and introduces layers of special detailing to deliver a very unique design statement. Solid oak is used extensively throughout the sideboard, distressed with a sawn effect across the grain and tinted with a white wash. The top is made from a lightly-figured sintered stone in a modern warm grey. Removable oak shelves feature behind the tongue and grooved doors which are furnished with gold-effect and matching oak fittings. Want to see it first? I’m a fan of the Braystone sideboard for its lightly textured, washed-oak finish that brings warmth without overpowering a room. Its clean lines and brass-tone handles sit well in Scandi-inspired, coastal or modern farmhouse interiors, and the four doors plus central drawer make it a smart choice for stashing tableware or home-office kit. Styling tip: keep the top surface clutter-free by grouping a low tray with a couple of ceramics or a slim vase at one end, and hang a simple mirror or framed print above to draw the eye up. Inside, use baskets or fabric boxes to corral smaller items - it’s an easy way to blend practicality with that laid-back, natural look.

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
