Description
With a strong and bold silhouette, the Alderbury console features the range's distinctive cross motif and stepped edges to deliver a unique, coastal themed range. Made from a sustainable timber, local to the place of manufacture, Sungkai solids and veneers are used in the construction of this versatile occasional piece. Three deep drawers run traditionally on the carcase and are furnished with pewter-effect cup handles. A wide shelf sits below the drawers and additional storage is provided by three rattan baskets placed on the lowest shelf. A "whitewashed" paint effect is hand applied to give the piece a lighter appearance and finished with a clear matt lacquer for durability and ease of maintenance. Want to see it first? I’m a fan of the Alderbury console - its slim, whitewashed frame and three shallow drawers really help keep hallway clutter out of sight while the lower wicker baskets add texture and extra storage. It suits coastal, farmhouse-style or Scandinavian-inspired interiors, thanks to its clean lines and neutral finish. Styling tip: position a round mirror or slim artwork above, then add a ceramic lamp and a shallow dish for keys on the top. Use the baskets for scarves or mail, and if you need extra surface interest, lean a slim vase of greenery at one end rather than centre-piece everything.
