Description
With a strong and bold silhouette, this bookcase features the Alderbury range's distinctive cross motif and stepped edges to deliver a unique, coastal themed range. Made from a sustainable timber, local to the place of manufacture, Sungkai solids and veneers are used in the construction of this versatile storage piece. Two deep drawers run traditionally on the carcase and are furnished with pewter-effect cup handles. An adjustable shelf is located behind the two doors hung on traditional butt hinges and finshed with complementary pewter-effect knobs. A "whitewashed" paint effect is hand applied to give the piece a lighter appearance and finished with a clear matt lacquer for durability and ease of maintenance. Want to see it first? John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
