I’m a fan of the Lassington chair because its gently rolled arms and neutral linen-style fabric strike a balance between classic comfort and contemporary simplicity. It sits just as happily in a traditional drawing room with dark woods and brass accents as it does in a Scandi-inspired living space with pale floors and minimal décor.
For easy styling, top it with a single geometric-print cushion in a contrasting tone and drape a soft woollen throw over one arm. Position a small side table with a sculptural lamp beside it and layer in a textured rug underneath to ground the look - this keeps the overall scheme inviting without feeling fussy.
