For a plush, luxurious colour scheme, the Large Velour Piped Cushion in Navy introduces a lavish feel to any room. The deep blue finish on this cushion creates a moody, modern vibe, while the velour fabric adds tactile richness. Finished on the edges with sophisticated piping, it s a 59x59cm cushion that balances comfort and style.

Our Stylist Says

I love this navy velvet cushion for its rich colour and plush texture, which adds a touch of sophistication to any sofa or bed. It works particularly well in modern or classic interiors where you want a pop of colour or a tactile element. The piped edging offers a subtle detail that elevates the overall look, making it suitable for both relaxed and refined spaces. For styling tips, try pairing it with neutral tones to really make the navy stand out, or mix with other textures like knits or linen for a layered, inviting feel. It’s also a great size for adding comfort and effortlessly updating your space.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
