Ideal for neutral colour scheme lovers, the Large Velour Piped Cushion in Ecru blends effortlessly into soft, earthy palettes. The understated white velour texture gives it a plush, inviting quality, while the piped border adds structure and elegance. This 59x59cm cushion is ideal for creating a calm, curated look in any room.

Our Stylist Says

I really like this large velour cushion - it adds a touch of understated luxury to any space. Its neutral ecru colour makes it extremely versatile, working well in both contemporary and traditional interiors, whether layered on a sofa or used as an accent on a bed. The piped edging gives it a polished finish, making it suitable for styled, curated look or more relaxed, everyday settings. For styling tips, try pairing this cushion with textured throws or contrasting patterns to create visual interest, and consider placing a few smaller cushions in complementary colours nearby for a layered, inviting feel. Its generous size means it can serve both decorative and comfort functions easily, making it a practical yet stylish addition.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
