Our Stylist Says
The large blush velour cushion is a versatile piece that adds a touch of softness and colour to various interiors. I love it for its plush texture and neutral tint, making it an easy upgrade for sofas, armchairs, or beds to create a cosy yet sophisticated look. It works particularly well in understated, modern settings or in interiors with pastel or neutral themes, where it can bring warmth without overpowering the space. To style it effectively, try pairing with contrasting textures like linen or leather, or stack it alongside other cushions in complementary shades for a layered, inviting aesthetic. It’s a practical addition that offers both comfort and style with minimal fuss.

About BHS.com
Historical Roots
British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.
Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.
Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!
Expansion and Evolution
BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.
They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
