Description
Sharing the same geometric star form and raw cement character as the small Solace candle holder, this large Solace cement star candle holder makes a more commanding and architecturally confident statement within a candlelit setting. The star silhouette rendered at a more substantial scale in a cool, matte cement finish carries its graphic, tactile character with greater presence, creating a piece that anchors a mantelpiece, dining table centrepiece, or floor-level display with a quiet, industrial authority. The cement material retains its raw, tactile warmth at this larger scale, and the interplay between the hard, cool material and the soft, flickering candlelight it holds creates an atmospheric contrast that feels both considered and deeply evocative. The larger format makes it a natural focal point within a candlelit arrangement, suited to a mantelpiece where it can be styled as a solo statement piece or grouped with the small version and complementary organic accessories to create a layered, atmospheric vignette. Its increased scale also makes it a compelling centrepiece for a dining table setting, where the warm candlelight it casts across a meal creates a convivial and intimate ambience. Durably constructed from cement for long-term decorative use, the candle holder retains its matte finish and structural integrity with everyday handling, and its considered construction ensures reliable, stable candle placement at this more substantial scale.
Our Stylist Says
I love this star-shaped candle holder for its modern yet playful design, which brings a touch of warmth and visual interest to any space. It works especially well in contemporary or minimalist interiors, adding a charming focal point on a dining table, mantelpiece, or sideboard. For styling tips, try pairing it with other monochrome or metallic accessories to create a sophisticated vignette, or group a few along a shelf for a more dynamic display. Its white colour makes it versatile, easily fitting into both neutral schemes and more colourful interiors, and it’s practical for adding soft, ambient lighting at dinner parties or cosy evenings.

About The Range
Humble Beginnings
In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
A Visionary Leader
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
More Than Just Stores
You can find The Range in many places, mostly outside town centres, but also in shopping areas. Some stores have a coffee shop called "Dee Dee's", and others even have a food section from Iceland. And if you like online shopping, The Range has got you covered there too with a big online store.
