Description

A contemporary take on our classic blue-and-white porcelain, this handmade planter features a hand-painted coral design that pops against the antique-effect celadon base colour. It’s handmade and fired under a high heat using a very old technique to achieve the red colour. The large symbol on the centre of the pot – ‘shou’ – translates to ‘longevity’. This version is wider than its smaller counterpart and is made for larger plants.

Our Stylist Says

I really love this large Shou planter in coral for its bold, decorative look - it’s a versatile piece that works well both as a statement standalone and layered with other textures. Its intricate pattern adds an eclectic touch that can elevate a minimalist space, or complement a more boho or Mediterranean interior. I’d suggest styling it with larger leafy plants like a snake plant or monstera to really showcase its size and detail. It’s equally practical as a centrepiece on a dining table or on the floor in a living area, where its colour and pattern can draw the eye. Keep the surrounding decor simple so the planter can truly shine, but don’t be afraid to combine it with other coral and terracotta accents for a cohesive look.
