Description
The Lapel armchair consists of a shell made of braided synthetic wicker covered with soft cushions (included: seat and back cushion). This durable, hard-wearing synthetic wicker material perfectly reproduces the warm, authentic aspect typical of natural fibre braiding. The perforated material provides great visual lightness. The braiding, made in Indonesia, is extremely complex because it requires a taut, perfect finish. Lapel captures a simple idea: that of a jacket collar or the top of a boot. The seat is made up of two interlocking volumes, creating a play of relief. The taut cords define in the air the particular shape of the seat, characterised by a protruding upper “band” that comfortably wraps the seated person, like a lapel. This protruding strip also has a functional aspect, since it serves as a handle to easily move the seat. The woven synthetic rattan creates an eye-catching moiré effect, brightens the visual volume of the seat and helps with air circulation, allowing it to dry quickly in the event of rain. The refined structure in charcoal-coloured aluminium brings a contemporary dimension to the armchair. Suitable for outdoor use, the Lapel armchair is just as at home on your terrace as in your living room.
