Description

The 30cm Linen Shade comes in a beautiful, grey tone, creating a modern look in your home that matches perfectly among any interior style. This understated, minimalistic shade can be easily attached to any pre-existing fitting, encompassing the light and diffusing a warm, soothing glow into your room, perfect for creating a mood light feature in any living room or bedroom.

Our Stylist Says

I really like the small linen shade for its clean, understated look. Its grey tone makes it versatile, effortlessly blending into contemporary, Scandi, or even minimalist interiors. It’s ideal for spaces where you want to add a soft, diffused light without it being overly decorative. Practical styling tips include placing it in neutral-toned living rooms or bedrooms for a cosy, calm atmosphere, or above a kitchen island where a simple, yet stylish light fitting is preferred. Its easyfit design makes installation straightforward, adding a touch of understated sophistication without cluttering your ceiling.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
