Description

The Lancaster coffee table features two extremely convenient push/pull drawers with satin silver handles and a large lower shelf. Like the rest of the Lancaster range it features a contrasting oak veneer top.

Our Stylist Says

I love this coffee table for its versatile cream finish and practical drawer storage, making it a great addition to both casual and more polished living spaces. Its neutral tone works especially well in country, coastal, or Scandinavian interiors, where light and simplicity are key themes. To style it effectively, consider adding a tray to corral a few accents like candles, books, or small plants, while the open shelf below is perfect for magazines or cosy throws. The two drawers offer handy storage for remote controls or stationery, helping keep the surface clutter-free. Overall, it’s a functional piece that can easily adapt to a variety of interior styles, making it a smart, timeless choice.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
