I love how this two-drawer grey coffee table combines a warm oak-effect top with handy storage, making it as practical as it is stylish. The soft grey finish works equally well in Scandi, country-cottage or modern farmhouse schemes, and the lower shelf is perfect for baskets to keep throws or magazines organised. For styling, I’d group a couple of coffee-table books with a small tray and a low vase of greenery, then tuck remotes and coasters into the drawers to keep the surface clutter-free. In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
