Lady’s bedstraw scents the air of grasslands, meadows, heaths and coasts with a honey-like scent. The larvae of the Elephant Hawk-moth, a common species whose name is derived from the resemblance of the caterpillar to an elephant’s trunk, feed on bedstraw and other species such as Rosebay willowherb.
