I’m a fan of this black L-shaped corner desk for its clean lines and space-saving design - it slots neatly into a corner and gives you plenty of work surface without dominating the room. It works well in modern or minimalist interiors, especially against pale walls or beside a window to maximise light. To style, keep clutter down with matching black or wire organisers, add a small desk lamp in brass or white for contrast, and introduce a touch of greenery in a low-profile pot. If you’ve got the wall space, hang a couple of slim floating shelves above for books or décor, and use discreet cable ties underneath to keep those leads out of sight.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
