A romantic twist on the classic Windsor chair, the Loveseat by Lucian Ercolani imbues a distinct and timeless allure that is conducive to a wide assortment of modern settings. Designed in 1956, the Loveseat reflects Lucian Ercolani’s discerning eye for detail and features his signature blend of beauty and functionality. Loosely inspired by the silhouette of the Windsor chair, the Loveseat features a moulded timber seat and spindle back-rest, gently curved to align with the body’s natural contours and provide optimal comfort. The Loveseat is offered in both solid ash and walnut timber. The ash variation is also available in nine bespoke finishes, including a soothing natural finish and the new, bold Modern Tones series by Christian Møller Andersen.
I love this bench for its clean, timeless design and the beautiful solid walnut finish that adds warmth without feeling heavy. It's incredibly versatile, working well in both traditional and modern interiors, especially those with a Scandinavian or minimalist aesthetic. Practical styling tips include pairing it with neutral-toned cushions or throws for a cosy touch, or using it as a visual anchor at the foot of a bed or along a hallway for functional charm. Its solid wood construction makes it durable, but I’d suggest keeping it protected from excessive moisture to maintain its finish. Overall, it’s a refined yet understated piece that offers both style and practicality.
