Description

Create a relaxed, coastal-inspired ambience with the Kyle 60cm Oval Rattan Easyfit Shade in Natural. Its elongated oval shape and woven rattan structure add texture and warmth to any room, while the open weave allows soft, diffused light to shine through. This shade is perfect for larger spaces that need a stylish yet functional lighting solution.

Our Stylist Says

I love this oval rattan shade because it brings a natural, laid-back vibe to any space. Its organic material and open-weave design make it ideal for relaxed, coastal, or bohemian interiors, but it can also soften more contemporary schemes when paired with sleek furniture. Practical styling tips include keeping the colour palette neutral or adding tactile layers like linen or jute to complement the natural look. It works particularly well in open-plan living areas or over dining tables, where its airy silhouette allows for excellent light diffusion. This shade is a versatile piece that adds warmth and texture, making it a stylish focal point in both residential and hospitality settings.

About BHS.com

Founded in 1928, BHS is a renowned brand that caters to various tastes and budgets. From modern to classic designs, BHS offers quality items that effortlessly elevate your decor.

Historical Roots

British Home Stores, known as BHS, was founded by a group of U.S. entrepreneurs with the goal of replicating the same success that was seen by Woolworths.

Their first store was on the streets of Brixton and the brand quickly gained popularity for its diverse offerings.

Over time, their range of products expanded to encompass not just clothing and household items, but also furniture, electronics, entertainment, and even beauty products. By the 1960's, BHS already had 94 stores across the nation!

Expansion and Evolution

BHS has always been on the cutting edge of retail trends! In the 1970s and 1980s, when indoor shopping centres were gaining popularity, BHS quickly adapted. Their collaboration with Sainsbury's led to the creation of SavaCentre hypermarkets, which offered a combined retail experience of both general merchandise and groceries.

They didn't limit themselves to the UK either. By 1985, BHS opened its doors in Gibraltar, marking its international debut. Significant milestones like the merger with Habitat and Mothercare in 1986 further shaped its success.
