Description

Design. The minimalist and contemporary design of the Krista Round Dining Table will make for an eye-catching addition to your kitchen dining area. The white marble top supported by a futuristic titanium metal base combines quality and unique style effortlessly. The Krista Dining Table is the perfect spot for a cup of coffee or evening meal.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Krista dining table because of its modern yet timeless design. The marble top offers a sophisticated, high-end feel that works particularly well in contemporary or minimalist interiors, but it can also elevate more eclectic spaces with the right accessories. Its unusual pedestal base provides stability while maintaining a sleek profile, making it ideal for smaller dining rooms or open-plan spaces. For styling, I recommend pairing it with upholstered chairs for softness or layered textures like woven placemats and metallicware to enhance its elegant appeal. To keep it looking pristine, avoid placing hot items directly on the marble and consider coasters or placemats to prevent stains. Overall, it’s a versatile piece that can be styled effortlessly for both casual and formal occasions.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
