I’m a fan of this ottoman bed for its clean lines, versatile upholstery and clever under-bed storage - it clears floor space without compromising on style. It complements modern, Scandi or contemporary bedrooms, especially when you pair the neutral grey fabric with pared-back walls and natural wood accents. For practical styling, stick to a simple palette of whites and pastels, layer a textured throw and a couple of scatter cushions to soften the look, then add a slim bedside table or wall-mounted shelf to keep clutter at bay. A low-pile rug under the front third of the bed will complete the scheme and zone the sleeping area.

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.
