Description

Skilfully handwoven by talented artisans in India, our eco-friendly Kota rug features a subtle two-tone design. Crafted from a blend of sustainable hemp and cotton, this timeless rug will blend into any interior style.

Our Stylist Says

I love the Kota medium handwoven rug for its natural texture and versatile neutral tone, making it a great foundation for both contemporary and rustic interiors. It works particularly well in living rooms or dining areas where you want to add warmth and tactile interest without overwhelming the space. A practical styling tip is to layer it beneath a sleek coffee table or a dining table to anchor the room, while allowing the woven texture to bring in a sense of handcrafted charm. Pairing it with muted colour palettes or natural materials like wood and linen can really enhance its organic feel, making it an adaptable piece that suits a variety of interior styles.

About Graham & Green

Founded in 1974, Graham & Green are a family business that started in Notting Hill, and have many pieces that bring touch of individuality and character to any space.

The Inception of a Lifestyle Brand

In 1974, Antonia started Graham & Green after a trip to India. She wanted to be independent and worked with traders from different countries. This led her to create the UK's first 'lifestyle' brand, bringing unique home items from places like India, Morocco, and Europe.

The first Graham & Green store opened in Notting Hill in 1974, showcasing Antonia's special collection of items from around the world. You can still visit this original store on Elgin Crescent today.

Evolution through Generations

Graham & Green has a rich history full of important moments. In 1980, they started creating hand-drawn mail-order catalogues to share their store's charm with more people.

They opened a new store in Primrose Hill in 1994, reflecting the brand's playful and free nature.

Antonia's son, Jamie, took a creative lead in 1998. Having studied at Kingston University, he began designing unique furniture collections, shifting Graham & Green from not only importing items but also creating them.

Then, in 1999, Graham & Green launched their first website, allowing people all across the UK to shop their collections online.

Milestones and Memories

Over time, Graham & Green has marked its journey with special products, like unique Birthday items with lovebird designs. After Antonia led the brand for 37 years, Jamie and Lou took over, pushing Graham & Green to grow even more.

They opened big stores in Bayswater and Bath in 2016. By 2018, Graham & Green updated their website to keep it modern and stylish for their customers.
