Description

Oozing sophisticated style with an elegant edge, the Kora coffee table with drawers is a beautiful addition to traditional or contemporary interiors. Made from solid Sheesham wood, its surfaces are lustrously smooth and rich with colour. Angular in shape with retro splayed legs, the table is defined by detail. Brass accents to the feet and handles deliver a glamorous touch, whilst the drawers’ 3D blockwork fronts provide unique texture and dimension. Perfect for displaying decorative accessories and clearing away clutter, the table brings both beauty and practicality to the lounge. Instantly bringing warmth and character to any room, the Kora coffee table combines with the matching TV unit and side table to create a cohesive look.

Our Stylist Says

I love this coffee table because of its warm Sheesham wood finish and mid-century modern silhouette, which makes it versatile for a variety of interiors. It's ideal in rustic, boho, or contemporary spaces where natural wood tones add warmth and texture. The built-in drawers offer practical storage for remote controls, coasters, or magazines, keeping surfaces clutter-free. Styling tips include pairing it with neutral-toned sofas and adding a few decorative accessories like small plants or ceramic trays to create a welcoming look. It works particularly well in both relaxed lounge areas and more eclectic settings where its natural grain can really stand out.

About Barker and Stonehouse

Founded in 1946, Barker and Stonehouse offer a diverse range of stylish and timeless pieces. From contemporary to traditional designs, Barker and Stonehouse brings sophistication and comfort to every room.

A Remarkable Journey

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Starting from a single store in Stockton on Tees, their entrepreneurial spirit led to rapid expansion, opening multiple stores across the region.

Their fast growth was fueled not only by their flair for business but also by their dedication to innovation. The business transformed over the years, adapting to the changing landscapes of retail, all while preserving its charm and values. By 2021, they marked an impressive 75 years in the industry, a testament to their enduring commitment to quality and customer service.

Sustainability at the Forefront

From the very start, Barker and Stonehouse has held a deep commitment to the environment. This devotion was showcased through initiatives such as the Trees4Trees Project, a reforestation effort in Indonesia.

Ensuring that for every tree used in their products, more than two were replanted, nearly 1.5 million trees have been restored under this initiative.

Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.

Innovative Spaces and Expanding Horizons

Over the decades, Barker and Stonehouse didn't just expand in number, but in the quality and innovation of their spaces. From opening their iconic store in Battersea, London, which beautifully preserved the characteristics of an old candle factory, to their latest state-of-the-art Gateshead store in 2023, every location tells a story.

They have also ventured into digital realms, ensuring a vast online presence and offering a wide range of products to customers all over the UK. Their partnerships, like the one with Fenwick in 2021, illustrate their adaptability and constant quest to reach new audiences.
