Created by Norwegian designer Martin Solem, Kofi is a collection of coffee tables based on a simple construction: a wooden frame crowned with a glass top. These tables feature a classic shape and skilfully balanced proportions. They draw their charm from the successful interplay of rounded legs and precisely designed edges. The wooden base and glass top combine harmoniously, although they are clearly separate. The base is available in different colours: red, black, oak or walnut. The top is available in different versions: transparent, coloured or fluted glass. Very popular in contemporary architecture, fluted glass has grooves that give it a sophisticated, wavy shape. The grooves are located on the inside of the top: the upper side is smooth to ensure perfect stability for objects. Available in different sizes, Kofi coffee tables offer lots of combinations, meaning they can adapt to many different contexts. Kofi coffee tables are delivered disassembled in flat packaging for easy transport. The solid wood of the base is FSC-certified, and is covered with an ecological water-based lacquer.
I really like this coffee table because of its clean, minimalist design that pairs a sleek glass top with natural wood legs, making it versatile for various interiors. It works particularly well in Scandi or contemporary spaces due to its neutral palette and understated aesthetic. For styling, consider layering with textured textiles like woven coasters or placing a few carefully chosen decorative objects-think candles or books-to add visual interest. Because of its size, it’s perfect for smaller living rooms or open-plan spaces, and the glass surface helps keep the look light and uncluttered. Practical tip: try pairing it with soft, neutral-toned seating to maximise its airy feel and create a cohesive, inviting atmosphere.
