Description
Poetic and refined, this pendant boasts a pure and graphic presence. It offers a surprising contrast between rigidity and flexibility, robustness and lightness. A large rope pulled taut runs through the blown glass sphere, tracing a strict, vertical line in space. The rope’s raw material makes its visible way through the centre of the glass’ transparency. The full, round shapes of the sphere are severed by the strong, straight cable, which appears to distort the glass bottom creating a plastic, elastic effect. The knot located at the end of the cable, beneath the lampshade, is an aesthetic element characteristic of the collection. The glass dome is topped with an elegant brass cap. The Knot is worked with great attention to detail; the end of the rope and the ceiling rose are also in brass. The LED source is situated in the opal glass diffuser, beneath the metal cap. When the light shines inside the glass dome, it casts an almost supernatural glow. Within the glass bubble, the light is magnified, protected and sheltered. It emits a warm and vibrant light created by the superb hues of the glass.
