A real sculpture, this wireless lamp is from Éric de Dormael. The French sculptor designs and makes unique works with architectural forms in metal, papier-mâché and resin. He adds light sources into his sculptures in order to turn them into decorative items. Drawing occupies a crucial place in his work and is at the origin of each creation. Each idea is firstly worked on in pencil. The Knokke lamp has a structured assembly, characterised by its lightness and fluidity. The three brushed brass rods of different heights are solidly rooted to the black steel base. They are topped with an elegant geometric lampshade. Inside of these poetic and delicate forms, the LED sources are nestled, which imitate the light effect of candles. The light reproduces the reflections, shimmering, the mood of the flame and its dancing vibrations on the walls. The Knokke lamp creates images, impressions and light sensations. Placed on its small base, this light composition is like an architectural signature. It is made up of lines which take shape and stretch out accordingly in space like little clouds. This wonderful ensemble of lines looks like repeated pencil strokes which are organised like architects' sketches when they are small-scale. The unavowed act of an architecture fan or simple light research, the result is no less magical. This practical wireless lamp is equipped with a dimmer with 3 light intensities (100% - 60% - 30%). It charges simply via its USB port (charging cable included) and has a battery life of 7 to 19 hours (depending on the brightness). This go-anywhere lamp is easy to carry and can be moved around as you wish. Placed on a shelf, a bookcase, a console, a table during a meal or an aperitif, it will provide a soft and sensual light.
