Description

“Created by Japanese designer Jin Kuramoto, Knit is a coat rack with a distinctive sculptural design. It consists of three folded, interlocking steel tubes, forming a knot in their upper part. The pipes are securely "knitted" together to support each other. This coat rack is the result of a long experimental process of folding and knitting metal rods. The Knit coat rack is delivered unassembled in flat packaging for easy transport. Assembly is simple: the three tubes are fixed with 3 screws (Allen key and screws included). With its linear design, the Knit coat stand dresses your room with its graphic, colourful presence. The simple form, both enigmatic and playful, irresistibly attracts attention and stimulates the imagination. With its rudimentary curved shape, lost between a feeling of regression and technical distinction, the tube calls out with its power of interpretation. The work of Japanese designer Jin Kuramoto has won numerous international prizes including the prestigious Red Dot Award "Best of the Best" and the i. F Product Design Award. His designs are essentially the result of a continuous process of trial and error, "positive accidents". Kuramoto especially enjoys contact with materials as well as prototyping in his inspiring studio. ".

Our Stylist Says

The Knit Coat stand is a great choice for those looking for a minimalist, functional piece. Its slim steel profile makes it ideal for modern or contemporary interiors, particularly in entryways or small spaces where you want to optimise every inch. I love how its clean lines and understated design allow it to blend seamlessly with various colour schemes and furnishings. Practical styling tips include clustering it near a bench for a quick drop zone or pairing it with a mirror to create a streamlined, organised entry area. Its open, airy construction also works well in minimalist or Scandinavian-inspired schemes, adding a touch of utilitarian elegance without overwhelming the space.
