I’m a fan of this oak shoe cupboard for its straightforward design and solid build - it keeps footwear out of sight without dominating the hallway. The light oak tone works especially well in Scandi-inspired, coastal or contemporary settings, and it pairs effortlessly with muted wall shades or black-metal accents.
For styling, use the top surface for a slim tray to catch keys and loose change, or perch a round mirror and a small plant above to open up the space. Inside, add a couple of woven baskets on the lower shelf to corral scarves and gloves, and arrange shoes by frequency of use so the everyday pair is always at hand.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
Under his leadership, The Range has not only thrived locally but has also hinted at European expansion dreams, envisioning a staggering 1,000 stores across the continent.
