Description

Kilo is a versatile and lightweight white metal side table with a powder-coated steel top and lacquered solid oak legs with feature finger joints. Designed by Elling Ekornes and Trine Haddal Hovet, and exclusive to Habitat, the versatile table is easy to assemble and can also be used beside a bed.

Our Stylist Says

I love this side table for its clean, modern aesthetic that can seamlessly blend into a variety of interiors. The white top paired with the metal frame gives it a fresh and contemporary look, perfect for minimalist or Scandinavian spaces. It works well beside a sofa or bed, providing a practical surface for lamps, books or decorative objects without overpowering the room. For styling tips, consider layering with textured or colourful accessories to add interest, or pair it with wooden or soft furnishings to create a warm, inviting contrast. Its versatile design means you can easily integrate it into both neutral palettes and more vibrant schemes.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
