Description

The Kilo nest is a versatile and lightweight set of side tables with powder-coated steel tops and lacquered solid oak legs with feature finger joints. Designed by Elling Ekornes and Trine Haddal Hovet, and exclusive to Habitat, the versatile tables are easy to assemble and can also be used beside a bed. The design is part of the Kilo range of tables in an assortment of shapes, sizes and colours.

Our Stylist Says

I love this nest of three side tables for its versatile design and compact footprint. The combination of grey and red adds a vibrant yet neutral tone, making it adaptable for both modern and contemporary interiors. The nested arrangement allows for flexible styling; use them together as a cohesive surface or spread them out for added functionality. They work particularly well in living rooms with minimalist or industrial themes, providing a pop of colour without overwhelming the space. Practical styling tips include using the smallest as a plant stand or a side for reading lamps, and stacking them when needed to save space. Their clean lines and durable metal surfaces make them both stylish and practical choices for everyday use.

About Habitat

Founded in 1964, Habitat are a renowned brand, and a go-to destination for modern and stylish furniture and home accessories.

The Birth of Habitat

In 1964, Sir Terence Conran founded Habitat in London, aiming to bring a fresh European touch to UK home decor.

The first store, located on Fulham Road in Chelsea, became the blueprint for all Habitat stores to come. The store stood out with its distinct design, and was famously known for selling affordable pasta storage jars just as the pasta market began booming in the UK.

Rapid Expansion & Legacy

Habitat grew swiftly in the UK during the 1960s and even crossed borders with its first international store in Paris in 1973.

The brand's journey through the decades saw various mergers and acquisitions, including its integration with Sainsbury's Group in 2017.

Habitat's innovation extended beyond products; they even launched a mail-order system in 1966 and initiated the concept of flat-pack furniture in 1971.

Celebrating its rich history, the brand marked its 50th anniversary in 2014 by collaborating with past designers and commissioning a special logo.

Innovation & Collaboration

Habitat has always been at the forefront of modern design. Throughout its history, the brand has been renowned for its collaborations with acclaimed artists and designers, ensuring it consistently offers unique, limited-edition collections.

Under the umbrella of the Sainsbury's Group since 2017, Habitat continues its tradition of merging contemporary aesthetics with functional design, solidifying its reputation as a leading name in home furnishings.
