I’m a fan of this little road-map rug because it brings both fun and function into a child’s room - it’s soft underfoot, non-slip for safety and fully washable for those inevitable spills. The muted green base works particularly well in bright, neutral nurseries or playrooms, where it can inject a touch of colour without overwhelming the space.
For styling, centre it under a low shelf or toy storage unit and scatter a few wooden cars or trucks on top to encourage imaginative play. You could pull out the blues and reds in the print by adding matching storage baskets or cushions, and layer a plain, cream wool rug beneath it in cooler months to keep little toes cosy.
