Description

The Trasman Kids Girona Midsleeper Bed with a modern wood effect finish features a pull-out desk, drawers, cupboards and shelving for storage. The Girona Midsleeper maximises floor space by neatly tucking an array of storage options to keep things neat and tidy. The fixed ladder has 3 steps, the bottom 2 are deep steps extending under the bed frame giving extra storage shelves accessible from the front or end of the bed frame. Across the front, a long bedside shelf offers a place to store a whole variety of items with easy access from in or out of the bed. To the left side of the ladder are 3 storage drawers, a single-door cupboard and a long shelf space.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of the Girona mid-sleeper for its clever use of space - the raised bed with integrated desk, drawers and shelving is ideal for a smaller bedroom where you need both sleep and study zones. Its light ash-grey and white finish suits modern, Scandi or coastal-inspired schemes and pairs well with pastel accents or monochrome accessories. Styling tip: slot your child’s favourite prints or a pinboard above the desk and add a slim LED desk lamp for task lighting. Use woven baskets on the open shelves to keep toys and art supplies tidy, and choose a colourful rug or cushions to inject personality without cluttering the footprint.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
