Description

This sleep storage bed is robust and chunky and finished in a clean white although the backboards for the shelving are reversible and you have an option of which colour you want to show, pink, cappuccino, white or black, all colours come with the package so you don’t have to pre-select. The 2 deep drawers are great for storage and the inbuilt back shelving allows your child to display their treasures and keep them close at hand. Made from heat-treated particle board which is foil-wrapped for a very heavy, durable and wipeable surface.

Our Stylist Says

I particularly like this day bed for its clean, simple lines and clever storage - the under-bed drawers and top cubbies make it ideal for keeping toys and bedding out of sight. It works well in contemporary or Scandi-inspired children’s rooms, especially when you want a fuss-free base that adapts to changing tastes. To style it, layer a soft mattress topper with neutral linens, then add a couple of bright cushions or a textured throw to introduce colour. Use the upper shelves for a small lamp or favourite books, and consider a low-pile rug at the foot to soften the floor. Baskets in the drawers help organise smaller items, while a wall-mounted rail above the bed can display artwork or fairy lights for a cosy touch.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
