Description

The Kids Avenue Estella 4 High Sleeper Bed is a fantastic new addition to the Estella range and is made from pinewood. The design features a ladder that can be fitted either to the left or right, depending on the layout of your bedroom and takes a standard UK-sized single mattress. The Estella 4 High Sleeper comes with a built-in desk and shelving unit as well as a pull-out bed, storage box and futon. This bed also features a hidden storage box which is located underneath the corner sofa, which is great for storing away books or additional bedding.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of this high sleeper for its clever all-in-one approach: a raised single bed, built-in desk, futon seating and under-bed storage drawer all in a clean white finish. It’s ideal for smaller bedrooms or multi-use spaces, slipping effortlessly into modern, Scandi or pared-back interiors without overwhelming the room. For styling, anchor the futon area with a soft, low-pile rug in a muted tone and toss on a couple of graphic cushions in contrasting colours. Use woven baskets or labelled boxes in the drawer below to keep toys and school supplies tucked away. Above the desk, add a slim floating shelf or pinboard for books and artwork, and introduce a small desk lamp in copper or matte black for a pop of contrast. Finish with trailing greenery on the top bunk rail or a string of warm LED fairy lights to soften the look.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
