Description

A premium and extremely large KETTLER parasol, this design has a 4-metre by 3-metre rectangular non-crease canopy with spring-loaded spokes for a tighter fit. It's operated by an easy wind-up mechanism and has vertical and horizontal tilt adjustment for selecting the right angle of protection from the sun. It's made with a durable aluminium frame and a shower-resistant canopy offering UV50+ sun protection. With 360-degree free-arm rotation, the base doesn't need to be moved when raising and lowering the parasol. When not in use or in windy weather we recommend you close the parasol down. It comes with a weatherproof night cover. Fill the four-part base with sand and water to weigh it down in your chosen location in the garden. Make sure that you're happy with your parasol's location before filling the base. Key features: Wind-up mechanism to open the canopy Vertical and horizontal tilt adjustment UV50+ sun protection and shower-resistant polyester canopy Aluminium pole Parasol base included Weatherproof night cover included Good to know: The parasol is designed for sun shade protection only. In windy weather, take down the parasol and store safely. Want to see it first? You may want to see and get a feel for the furniture in one of our shops before ordering. We'll be able to tell you where the range you'd like to view is on display.

Our Stylist Says

This freestanding parasol is a practical yet stylish addition for outdoor spaces, especially ideal for patios and garden setups that aim for a contemporary look. The wireless speakers add a functional touch, making it perfect for entertaining or relaxing without the need for additional gadgets. It works well with a modern, minimalist aesthetic but can also complement rustic or coastal themes by adding lightweight fabric fabrics and natural textures around it. When styling, consider pairing it with outdoor furniture in neutral tones to let the parasol be the focal point or add colourful cushions and accessories for a lively vibe. Its large size offers good coverage, so placing it centrally over dining or lounge areas helps create a well-shaded, inviting space.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
