Description

The KETTLER Denver garden furniture range has a very distinctive look with rope-effect backs on the seating, revealed behind plump cushions. Frames are made from FSC-certified acacia wood and the range is modular so you can build your set to suit your space. Equally suitable for indoor or outdoor use. The furniture can be left outdoors all year round but bring the cushions in during inclement weather and over winter. Strong, durable and resistant to rot and decay, this furniture requires little maintenanceEucalyptusDistinctive scent and appearance which darkens as it ages. AcaciaNaturally durable, this wood is incredibly hard and is unlikely to suffer damage during everyday use. It provides similar natural benefits to teak, yet unlike many other hardwoods, acacia is also relatively fast growing which minimises the environmental impact.

Our Stylist Says

I’m a fan of this Denver corner sofa for its clean-lined silhouette and warm, FSC-certified acacia frame - it feels robust yet refined. The neutral weave and chalk-white cushions slot straight into Scandi-inspired terraces or contemporary patios, but equally suit a more relaxed, boho courtyard. To style, zone your seating with a weatherproof jute rug and scatter in a couple of colourful outdoor cushions or lightweight throws for contrast. Pair with a low-profile teak coffee table, some lanterns or string lights overhead, and a few potted palms or ferns to soften the edges and create a laid-back, cohesive space.

About John Lewis

Founded in 1864, John Lewis is a trusted and beloved brand where you can find a diverse range of furniture for every style and budget, alongside finding the perfect item that reflects your personal taste.

A Legacy of Innovation and Inclusion

John Lewis started as a small shop on London's Oxford Street in 1864. Today, it's part of a bigger family called the John Lewis Partnership, which also includes Waitrose stores.

What makes them special is that they're owned by their employees, known as 'Partners'. The idea, from the beginning, was to give everyone a say in how the business was run. With over 74,000 Partners (employees) at the heart of its operations, the essence of John Lewis's vision, from over a century ago, still echoes today being the largest employee-owned venture.

Adapting to Changing Times

Like many stores, John Lewis has had to change with the times. They've closed some shops but have grown their online business a lot, especially when more people started shopping online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their history is filled with key moments, like buying Peter Jones in 1905, adding Waitrose in 1937, and starting their website in 2001. They've always tried to adapt and stay relevant.

Commitment to a Greater Purpose

John Lewis believes in doing good and making the world a better place. This is seen in the way they treat their employees and customers. For example, in 2021, they were the first big UK store to give parents six months paid leave when they have a baby and two weeks paid leave if they lose a pregnancy. They've been around for over a century and always aim to do the right thing by everyone.
