I’m a fan of the Kentwell chair because its muted upholstery and classic roll arms give it real versatility - it sits just as comfortably in a contemporary flat as in a more traditional country scheme. The subtle green-grey tone acts as a neutral backdrop, so you can dial up pattern or texture elsewhere without it clashing.
For styling, I’d pair it with a chunky wooden side table and a monochrome geometric cushion to mirror the chair’s clean lines. A soft wool throw draped over one arm adds a cosy contrast, while the little castors mean you can pivot it easily for chats, reading or just catching the light.
