I’m a fan of this triple bunk for its space-saving versatility and clean, natural-pine finish. It works equally well in a Scandi-inspired scheme or a more rustic, country-style children’s room. To style it, keep bedding in soft neutrals or pastels and add a couple of patterned cushions for interest. You can also use the ladder rails to hang lightweight fairy lights or fabric bunting. Finally, tuck storage boxes or wicker baskets under the lower bed to make the most of the lofted space.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth.
