I’m a big fan of this oak-top and white-leg table - its clean lines and mix of solid oak with signal-white paint make it remarkably versatile. It sits equally well in a Scandi-inspired kitchen, a modern farmhouse dining room or even a light, coastal scheme, and at 150 cm it’s just the right size for four to six people without overwhelming a mid-sized space.
Styling-wise, keep things simple: a neutral linen runner down the centre, a cluster of stoneware vases or a low ceramic bowl of seasonal fruit, and mix in chairs of varying textures - think rattan, painted wood or upholstered seats - to add depth. The oak surface is hardwearing, so you can layer on placemats or chargers for everyday use and swap in a more decorative tablecloth for entertaining. A few sprigs of greenery or a single branch in water instantly lifts the look, while under-seat storage baskets nearby help maintain a clutter-free zone.
