I really rate this Keils island for its compact footprint and handy mix of open shelves, drawer and towel rack - it works brilliantly in both cottage-style and more pared-back, Scandi schemes. The neutral timber finish and dark worktop give a reassuring, timeless look that slots straight into a farmhouse kitchen or a modern city flat without feeling out of place.
Styling-wise, use the open shelves to display matching glass jars or woven baskets for pantry staples, then keep the drawer free of clutter for utensils. A small plant or a couple of cookbooks on the worktop adds a fresh, lived-in vibe, and the side rails are perfect for hanging a hand towel or oven gloves so you’ve always got them to hand.
