Our Kaya Jute Rug is inspired by the intricate craftmanship of the Tuareg people and their nomadic lifestyle. Traditional geometric and symbolic motifs have been crafted in earthy natural tones to create a textured rug to complement contemporary spaces. Perfect for both modern and traditional interiors, this rug will add warmth and character to your living space. Jute is made from a plant that grows in India where our rugs are made. Compared to other natural materials such as Sisal or Coir, Jute is soft under foot so you can walk comfortably on it without shoes, or sit on it. Its durable nature makes it suitable for high footfall areas. You don’t get any pilling on Jute rugs but you will see indentations on the rug where you have placed furniture on top. Flatweave rugs tend to be thinner and lighter, so they have less profile if you need to open a door onto them with no obstruction.
