I’m a fan of these black nest tables for their slim metal frames and matt ceramic tops - they feel sturdy without dominating a room. Their simple profile works particularly well in contemporary or Scandi‐inspired interiors, where clean lines and monochrome accents are key.
Practically, they’re ideal in a small living area: pull out the smaller tables for extra surface space when you’ve got guests, then slide them neatly back when you need floor room. For styling, layer a sculptural vase on the largest table, stack a couple of design books on the mid-sized one and top the smallest with a scented candle or small plant to add height variation and texture.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
