A Chinese-style stool featuring a pattern in homage to Roy Lichtenstein with the dots from his paintings, designed by Alessandro Mendini for Kartell.

I’m a fan of this Roy stool for its lightweight, hard-wearing plastic and discreet embossed pattern - it feels at home in a Scandi-style living room, a pared-back hallway or even a bathroom where you need a quick perch or side table. Its neutral white tone and simple form mean it won’t compete with bolder furniture, but the subtle texture adds just enough interest to keep the scheme looking considered.
For styling, use it as an occasional extra seat around the dining table, a bedside table alternative in a minimalist bedroom or a plant stand in your sunniest corner. Because it’s easy to wipe clean and move around, it’s also handy outdoors when the sun comes out - just tip it back inside before it rains.

Heal's is a well-known British furniture store with a history that spans over 200 years. It began in 1810 when John Harris Heal and his son started a business for feather products but soon moved into furniture.
By the 1900s, almost everyone in London knew Heal's for its great furniture. Interestingly, they were also among the first to sell electric lights in Britain. During World War II, their main store even helped by making parachutes for soldiers.
