I’ve specified the Re-Chair in several schemes because its simple, sculptural form and matt black recycled plastic feel fresh without dominating a space. It sits just as well around a pared-back dining table as it does in a compact home office or a covered outdoor terrace, and its lightweight, stackable design makes it endlessly adaptable.
For styling, I like to pair it with a slim-profile table in glass or pale timber to balance the dark finish, then soften the look with a slim wool seat pad or tonal cushion. In a more eclectic setting it works brilliantly alongside mix-and-match seating, or you can line up four for a seamless, contemporary dining set.

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.
