Description
The distinctive look of the Planet pendant from Kartell is the shape of the slightly elliptical transparent diffuser, which is characterised by a multi-faceted surface, both inside and out, creating a rich tapestry of reflections. It sparkles when lit and it's suspended from a height-adjustable cable.

I’m a big fan of the Planet light for its low-profile, LED-driven design and jewel-like acrylic shade, which throws a soft, even glow without feeling fussy. Its clear finish and geometric facets make it an easy fit in both minimalist schemes - think white walls, pale woods and pared-back accessories - and more polished settings where metallic accents and glass surfaces are at play. For styling, hang it at least 60cm above a dining table or kitchen island to avoid glare, or fit two or three in a row for extra impact. It also works well in a hallway or bedroom when paired with warm-white bulbs. Because it’s so versatile, you can mix it with matte black fittings or use it alongside simple pendant lights to balance texture and tone.
