The dimmable Kabuki Table Lamp was designed by Ferruccio Laviani in 2016 for Kartell and is available in three different colours. Kartell uses innovative injection moulding technology to create the lamp’s striking lace-like texture. When lit, light diffuses through the holes to cast a unique series of shadows on the surrounding walls.
I love the mini version of this lamp for adding a subtle touch of elegance to both contemporary and eclectic interiors. Its sculptural base and delicate white lattice shade make it a versatile piece-perfect for bedside tables, sideboards or even as a decorative feature within a grouping of lamps. Style-wise, it works particularly well in boutique hotels, modern living rooms or minimalist schemes where a touch of texture or intricate detail is desired. Practical tips include pairing it with soft, warm bulbs to enhance its delicate structure and using it as a focal point on a console or floating shelf to create visual interest without overwhelming the space.
