I’m a big fan of the Kartell invisible dining table - its clear acrylic frame makes even the smallest dining nook feel open and uncluttered. It works brilliantly in contemporary and minimalist schemes, but equally lifts eclectic or industrial spaces by letting your chairs, rugs and lighting take centre stage rather than competing for attention.
For styling, keep your tabletop simple - a single sculptural vase or a low bowl of fresh fruit. Pair it with a mix of chairs in contrasting materials (think timber seats or colourful upholstered designs) to add warmth and personality. Position a slim runner or woven rug beneath to define the area without obscuring the table’s floating effect.

Born from the vision of two young RAF men, Charles Barker and Alex Stonehouse, Barker and Stonehouse emerged as a beacon of hope, infusing post-war Britain with a hint of glamour. Their Knaresborough store, one of the greenest retail stores in the UK, further underscores their dedication to sustainable practices. As a cherry on top, by 2021, the company achieved the status of "Carbon Neutral Plus", making them a trailblazer in the furniture industry.
