Its staggered, open design works equally well in a Scandinavian-inspired living room, a contemporary study or even as a room divider in a small flat, since it allows light to pass through and keeps the space feeling airy.
When styling, aim for a mix of books and objects in odd-numbered groups: stack a few books horizontally, lean one or two vertically, then slot in a small plant or a sculptural vase to soften the angles. Leave at least one shelf partly clear to prevent the display looking overcrowded, and vary heights by pairing taller items like slim candlesticks with lower pieces such as bowls or photo frames.

In 1980, Chris Dawson set up a simple open-air market stall in Plymouth. By 1989, this entrepreneurial spirit led to the opening of the very first physical store on Billacombe Road, originally named "C.D.S. Superstores". However, in the early '90s, a rebranding took place, introducing "The Range" to the world.
Today, with a whopping 200+ stores across the UK, The Range boasts an impressive selection of over 65,000 products, spreading across 16 diverse departments, all dedicated to enhancing homes and lifestyles.
Chris Dawson, the brain behind The Range, held the CEO position from 1989 to 2017. With a flair for business, Chris's achievements haven't gone unnoticed. He was even ranked fifth in a survey of Britain's Top 100 Entrepreneurs.
