A clean sweep to the angle of the arms adds flourish to the outline of our Kalmar sofa. Feather filled back and base cushions offer comforting support which, combined with the P-shaped arms and relaxed tilt to the seat, encourage a laid back perch. I’m a big fan of the Kalmar sofa for its warm tan leather and timeless, slightly curved frame - it instantly adds character without feeling over-the-top. The sturdy hide will age beautifully, making it ideal for both urban apartments and more traditional, panel-painted rooms. For styling, keep cushions and throws in neutral or earthy tones (think soft greys, deep olive or natural wool) to complement rather than compete with the leather. Anchor it with a low-pile rug in muted shades and introduce metal or dark wood side tables to balance the warmth. A simple floor lamp beside it will complete a practical, lived-in look.
