Feather filled back and base cushions offer comforting support which, combined with the relaxed tilt to the seat, encourage a laid back perch. I’m a fan of the Kalmar chair for its soft, rolled-arm silhouette and subtle herringbone weave - it sits comfortably in Scandi-inspired, contemporary or even country-style rooms thanks to its neutral tone. The ivory fabric gives you a blank canvas for colour accents, so I’d add a deep leather cushion or a woollen throw in rust or forest green to introduce warmth. For styling, tuck it into a reading nook beside a slim oak side table and an arched floor lamp. Layer a jute or boucle rug underneath and pop a small plant on the table to keep the look fresh and grounded.
