Description
Designed in 1936 by Christian Dell, the KAISER idell 6718-W Wall Light Matt Black combines premium materials with precision engineering; its name 'idell' joins the designer's name with the German word for 'idea'. The KAISER idell 6718-W Wall Light is manufactured by Fritz Hansen and characterised by its slightly asymmetrical shade and world-patented, swivel ball-jointed mechanism, which works alongside the scissor arm mechanism to make the shade as easy to adjust as possible. A practitioner at the Bauhaus metal workshop, silversmith-turned-industrial designer Christian Dell was a metalworking expert and combined hand-polished, chrome-plated brass stems with timeless hand-lacquered steel shades to create the ever-contemporary KAISER idell collection. Epitomising the Bauhaus aesthetic, the KAISER idell 6718-W Wall Light would enhance any wall space or bedside with its sleek contemporary form and makes an ideal reading task light or simply adds subtle ambience with its adjustable shade and scissor arm. Available in an assortment of colours, each 6718-W Wall Light comes with a certificate of authenticity and has a unique serial number engraved on its base. Requires 1 x Max 52W E27 bulb (not included).
